6 US Route 11
Central Square, New York 13036
The Thruway Authority and Canal Corporation will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open the new Brewerton Pier at the west end of Oneida Lake along the Erie Canal.
The $2.9 million project was announced in the fall of 2015 during Governor Cuomo’s “Capital for a Day” event in the greater Syracuse region. Located in the Town of Hastings, the pier is a critical stopping point for vessels and is located near area restaurants and other attractions. The new pier replaces the original pier that was built in 1911 and had fallen into disrepair.
